10 Squared Project: "Crust Moon I"

The 10 Squared Project celebrates light, color, shadow in squared landscapes across the seasons in Amanda's Pennsylvania location. This soft subtle moonrise captured Amanda's attention on the drive home in March 2023 - the Crust Moon. She captured a few quick photos and then sketched on site. The painting was then developed based on that sketch, her memory of that moment, and the photo reference.
 
 
This painting was developed at the same time and with the same palette as "Crust Moon II," and they are designed to work together as a pair.
Shown at Goggleworks (Reading, PA) national juried exhibition summer 2023.
