10 Squared: Slice of Light

The 10 Squared Project celebrates light, color, shadow in squared landscapes across the seasons in Amanda's Pennsylvania location. There is something here for everyone who loves nature and celebrating the beauty of local landscapes. All works are painted around all four sides, so no frame is needed.
 
 
The scene in this painting stopped Amanda in her tracks on the way home from work one January evening. She captured a quick photo, stopped long enough to observe the rich colors and deep atmosphere before heading home to create a sketch. This painting was then developed based on that sketch, her memory of that moment, and the photo reference.
 
 
This painting was developed at the same time and with the same palette as "The Road Less Traveled," and they are designed to work together as a pair.
