10 Squared Project: "First Cut"
The 10 Squared Project celebrates light, color, and shadow in squared landscapes across the seasons in Amanda's Pennsylvania location. Follow Amanda D'Agostino Art on Instagram (@amandadagostinoart) and FB (@AmandaDPhotoArt) to see the newest paintings added to the collection as they are added. There is something here for everyone who loves nature and celebrating the beauty of local landscapes. All works are painted around all four sides, so no frame is needed.
This dreamy blue-green hay bale scene represents that fast first cut that local farmers rush to make in mid-June. Amanda spent time observing some hay bale fields, but had to move fast to capture images because these early bales disappear into the barn quickly. The painting was then developed based on her observations, reference photos, and memories of colors and blue tones of the atmosphere.
