10 Squared Project: "Crust Moon II"

The 10 Squared Project celebrates light, color, shadow in squared landscapes across the seasons in Amanda's Pennsylvania location. There is something here for everyone who loves nature and celebrating the beauty of local landscapes. All works are painted around all four sides, so no frame is needed.
 
 
This soft subtle moonrise captured Amanda's attention on the drive home in March 2023 - the Crust Moon. She captured a few quick photos and then sketched on site. The painting changed into a snowy landscape as she worked on the painting in the studio. 
 
 
This painting was developed at the same time and with the same palette as "Crust Moon I," and they are designed to work together as a pair.
Shown at Goggleworks (Reading, PA) national juried exhibition summer 2023.
